Dear Idaho Voter:

You supported both of us as your Attorney General.  We now ask you to support Lawrence Wasden for Idaho Attorney General in the upcoming elections.  He needs your vote at the primary election on May 28, 2002, and at the general election on November 5, 2002.

Lawrence Wasden knows what it takes to succeed as the chief legal officer for the State of Idaho.  He has been employed by both of our administrations, including more than four years as the Chief of Staff.  Previously, Lawrence was a prosecutor in Canyon County and he served as the Owyhee County Prosecuting Attorney.  Lawrence's broad legal experience makes him uniquely qualified to be Idaho's Attorney General.  He will hit the ground running!

Lawrence is committed to being an Attorney General who will always seek firm and fair prosecution, vigorously defend against claims made for Idaho's water, and assert Idaho's rights as a sovereign under the United States Constitution.  He also understands that the Attorney General's role as a member of the State Board of Land Commissioners requires dedication to managing Idaho's lands to obtain the maximum long-term financial return for Idaho's school children.  

Lawrence has also long been active in state and local politics for the Idaho Republican Party.  He is a native Idahoan.  He deeply believes in the values that guide conservative politics.  Those values, which are derived from his dedication to family, character and hard work, will serve him well as Idaho's next Attorney General.
